About BetterBoard
BetterBoard is built for Jira teams that have outgrown the default board. It gives developers, product managers, and team leads one board across space types, with the fields, grouping, filtering, and keyboard control they expect from their daily work surface.
It is a product from Released, founded in 2023 by ex-Atlassians. The app runs on Atlassian Forge inside the customer’s Jira tenant, so it stays close to Jira’s permission model without asking teams to move their work into another system.
Built by people who know Jira
Jens Schumacher is the Co-Founder and CEO of Released. Before founding Released, he spent more than 15 years at Atlassian, joined as employee number 12, and was Head of Product for Jira. His Atlassian work also spanned Jira Service Management and Bitbucket.
Stefan Saasen is Principal Architect at Released. He worked at Atlassian from 2010 to 2019, contributing to Confluence, Stash (now Bitbucket Server), and Bitbucket Cloud, with deep experience in Git, scalable systems, and developer tooling.
Adam Ahmed is Co-Founder and CTO of Released. Before Released, he was a JavaScript developer at Atlassian and contributed to developer tools including Stash, now Bitbucket Server.
